Who remembers Halloweentown? Hocus Pocus? The Little Vampire?
Now that it?s October, it?s time for all those old movies and specials from our childhoods to resurface. Disney is actually doing ?Monstober?, showing all the classics we love and remember all month long! They?ll be showing all the Halloweentowns (yes, even the one where they replaced the girl who played Marni), both Twitches movies, Hocus Pocus, a brand new Disney Channel Halloween movie called Girl vs. Monster, and all new Halloween specials of their newer shows.
Nickelodeon fans can get excited too! Nick is bringing lots of new Halloween specials to your screens including a new Halloween episode of Spongebob! Let?s not forget the new Nickelodeon movie Fun Size starring Victorious? Victoria Justice coming to theaters October 26!
Of course, there are always the true classics like It?s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (which will air on ABC on Halloween at 8 o?clock for it?s 46th anniversary), Tim Burton?s The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride, or Casper which the New York Times stated as having ?the most lovable? hero. Halloween brings with it tons of great, family-friendly movies which have made their ways into our hearts over the years.
?If you don?t want to opt for the ?kiddie? movies, you could always grab a slasher flick like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, or (probably the most obvious) Halloween.
?Instead of trick-or-treating this year, you can pull up a bowl of store-bought candy and swing by the local Blockbuster to rent one (or more!) of these classic Halloween movies. Or, you know, you could always just go trick-or-treating.
?Happy Halloween and have fun reminiscing!
