Naomi Watts to star in Princess Diana biopic (AP)

LONDON ? Producers say Naomi Watts will play Princess Diana in a film about the last years of the royal's life.

Britain's Ecosse Films says "Caught in Flight" will focus on the two years before Diana's death in a Paris car crash in August 1997.

It is directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, best known for his film about Hitler's last days, "Downfall." The screenplay is by Stephen Jeffreys, who penned "The Libertine".

Filmmakers said Thursday the biopic "charts how finding true personal happiness for the first time" allowed Diana to find her role as "a major international campaigner and humanitarian."

The Australia-raised Watts, who received an Academy Award nomination for "21 Grams," said she was honored to get the role.

Filming will begin later this year.

Meaningful conversations twice a week and cuddling 11 times in a fortnight can also help says a new study.?

Love & sex
Being affectionate keeps the bond strong, with those happily married couples averaging a lingering kiss six times a week, making love twice a week and saying ?I love you? up to nine times a fortnight. But, as any couple knows, it?s not all sweetness and light. Even happily married couples average at least one healthy argument a week.?

Give & Take
?The research indicates that marriage is all about give and take, and making time for one another,? says Catherine Crone, who is associated with the firm which conducted the study.?

?It is clear that while couples expect a great deal of love and affection from each other, they also understand that a real partnership includes having both deep and meaningful conversations as well as healthy arguments.?

Holidays & Breaks

Taking time out from the daily routine is also fundamental to longterm happiness while regular holidays or short breaks, coupled with nights out for dinner or trips to the pub, all contribute to a healthy relationship,? she said.?

For those who go on two holidays a year, 58 per cent said they liked to go because they were reminded why they loved their spouse. And almost as many said they were more likely to make time for each other on holiday than at any other time of the year.?

Time apart
The survey revealed that while happy couples like to have an evening out together three times a month, they also leave time for a couple of girls? or boys? nights away from their partner to keep their relationship strong. Happily married couples tend to make time for five movie nights at home a month. And most will make romantic gestures, such as cooking a meal, or taking their spouse a cup of tea in bed three times a month.

Video Game Reviews: The Nintendo Famicom Game Review ...

Balloon Fight for the Nintendo Famicom was released in 1985. This game is fun to play and has a simple premise: go pop the bad guys' balloons! This simple idea is a great start to the game. The player doesn't have to read a manual, or worry about which buttons to press. This is 8-bit retro gaming at its best.

You can press the A or B buttons to make your character fly up and down. Press left and right on the arrow pad to go, well, left and right. Balloon fight is similar to Joust, but in Joust you are trying to kill your enemies, here you just want to pop your enemies' balloons. Don't be turned off by the simple premise of this game. That's part of the magic! It's easy to understand at first glance, but hard to master.

There are three modes of play: single, 2 player, and Balloon Trip. The main goal for the first two modes is to pop all of the balloons while keeping your own player aloft. In Balloon Trip, you must traverse through an obstacle course and test your flying skills. Be careful of the lightning and other baddies waiting to knock you out of the sky.

The controls in Balloon Fight take a little practice to gain proficiency. If you flap to hard going up, it's difficult to slow your momentum down and you may crash into an enemy and lose a balloon. The same goes for going right and left. If you go to fast in any direction, slowing down becomes a problem and you may find yourself heading into trouble.

The graphics in Balloon Fight are great. Very vibrant and colorful. Even in 8-bit, it looks good, and the sprite animations are well done so Mario's movements are believable and the enemies and balloons are recognizable as such.

If you've just purchased a used Balloon Fight cartridge, make sure to clean the contacts with ammonia using a q-tip. If it hasn't been cleaned, it will certainly need to be. Always make sure your game carts are not dirty before sticking them into your Famicom. Inserting a dirty cart into your working FC is a retro-gaming foul. Don't do it!

All in all, Balloon Fight is one of those games in the vast Family Computer game library that should definitely be in your collection. It's got the retro, 8-bit game mix down just right: a simple premise, which is easily understood at a glance, followed by excellent gameplay.

Animation And Its Importance In The Current World

Animation is an art form that blends entertainment with technology. We use animation tools mostly in areas like entertainment and education. If you have a talent in designing pictures and images, you can make animated characters move around a screen. The passion is the driving force behind good animators.

Those who have good artistic skills and sound knowledge about animation technologies can shine in the field of animation. Immense opportunities are there to prove their talents. As time and space plays a vital role in making a good animated template, a good animator can give life to his characters just like a tailor bird sews its nest. To give life to their characters, they have to create an image according to their imagination and animate it in an effective way.

The different levels through which an animation process goes through includes design, drawing, layout, creating graphical image and then the final stage - the beautiful multimedia characters.

A person with a real story telling talent can convert a story into a good animation movie. It is the sense of purpose that draws us into the story and keeps us captivated to the screen while we follow those characters in achieving their goals. Importance of a character in a story is the major driving force in infusing characters with life, believability and compassion. When we can make sure that every action that was animated has a purpose, this adds a layer of depth to the characters and the story. This makes the animated story an unforgettable experience.

Last year we saw a range of animated movies like The Adventures Of Tintin, Happy Feet 2, puss in Boots, Kung Fu Panda 2, Rio, Rango and Gnomeo and Juliet. Director Steven Spielberg?s The Adventures of Tintin was a box office hit. From kids to elder people every one welcomed the movie whole heartedly. The story revolves around a teenage reporter named Titin. After gangsters kidnapped him to get a model ship he purchased in an open-air market, he begins the search for a treasure that was buried in the sea during the second pre-World War. With spectacular animated visuals and mind blowing music, happy Feet 2 also got a good response from the worldwide audience. We can also watch animated movies and cartoons in our home television connected with service from providers like AT&T U-verse Deals.

DreamWorks Animation in California is one of the famous animation companies in the world. The company is specialized in creating computer-generated animated feature films, television specials and series and live entertainment properties. So far the animation company has theatrically released a total of 23 animated feature films. This includes the franchise properties of Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon.

Pixer Feature Film in California in another renowned animation studio that has the capability to create a new generation of animated feature films and other related products. In partnership with Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the company has created films like A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, Ratatouille and WALL-E.

Two main types of animated programs that we create with the help of computer are two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. Evolution of 2D animation software gives options like editing and manipulation. Using PowerPoint, Flash animation etc an image will be created or edited in bitmap graphics and vector graphics. Then the computer will give motion to the objects, in contrary to traditional hand drawn animation, where we draw different positions of an object in separate frames. Some of the techniques used for giving two dimensional views to an object are morphing, onion and interpolated rot scoping. On the other hand, 3D animation relates more towards reality, where we can?t find the difference between the real world and the imaginary world. Movies and advertisements use this type of animation.

For animators sky is the limit. An experienced animator can find a better job with production companies dealing with movies and television serials, other than web designing, animation, video game etc. Do you think you have creative skills? Then step into the thrilling world of animation and give life to your imaginations.

US Cellular intros first LTE devices: the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G and Galaxy S Aviator 4G
US Cellular's had its LTE network in the oven for quite some time, and we knew it was going to be showing up sometime next month. The missing part of the equation, however, was which devices would ring in the celebration. The carrier finally answered the mystery question: the first tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G, will be the inaugural device and is expected to arrive in March, while the Galaxy S Aviator 4G should be gracing store shelves sometime in April.

We don't expect to see any surprises with the Galaxy Tab, but the Aviator definitely has us curious. At first glance, it appears to be the same design as the Droid Charge, and will offer a 4.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display, run on Android 2.3.6 and come with a 8MP rear camera, front-facing cam and HDMI port. We're hoping to get more specs for your enjoyment, but enjoy the press release in the meantime.

Pentax confirms the rumors, mirrorless K-01 coming March 2012 (video)

We heard it was coming, and confirmation arrivies today of Pentax's latest model. the K-01. The manufacturer is cheer-leading the fact that it uses the world's thinnest interchangeable lens for lens-interchangeable cameras, which really rolls off the tongue. The body is compatible with the rest of your K-series lens, although they're presumably going to look awkwardly thick in comparison. The 40mm lens can cope with aperture settings down to f/1.8, while the camera packs a new 16.28 megapixel CMOS sensor, with an ISO range of 100 to 25,600. Video chops have also been improved; a new recording button for instant start and a stereo mic differentiate it from the K-5. Video capture can be done at 1080p with 30, 25 or 24fps settings available. The aluminum-bodied camera will arrive in yellow, black and white next month, priced at $750 for the high-design body or $900 with the DA 40mm lens included. The lens will also be available, priced at $250. You can see designer Marc Newson emote about his latest creation in the video right after the break

Illinois beats No. 9 Michigan State 42-41 (AP)

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. ? In a game in which neither team made even one-third of its shots, it seemed right the deciding free throws would be followed by a few more misses.

Brandon Paul made two foul shots that gave Illinois the lead with 45 seconds to play, then missed the front end of two 1-and-1s in the Illini's 42-41 win over No. 9 Michigan State on Tuesday night.

The shooting ? 32.6 percent for Illinois and 24.1 percent for Michigan State ? was so bad that players suggested the ball may have had too much air in it.

"Someone brought it up to the refs, I think one of the coaches," Paul said. "I'm not trying to make excuses. I missed those free throws, I shouldn't be missing those shots."

The win ended a three-game losing streak for the Illini (16-6, 5-4 Big Ten), a run that left coach Bruce Weber resorting to prayer.

"When the shots go up, I just say, `Please, God, let it go in,'" Weber said. "Some of the shots just sat in there and then popped out."

The loss cost the Spartans (17-5, 6-3) a chance to move into first place in the Big Ten with No. 3 Ohio State.

Spartans forward Draymond Green spent much of the game on the bench with foul trouble, then was helped from the court with what appeared to be an injury to his left knee with just under 4 minutes to play. He didn't return.

Spartans coach Tom Izzo wasn't sure how serious the injury was but wasn't happy how Green or the rest of his team played under pressure Tuesday.

"I didn't think we handled adversity very well at all," Izzo said. "My two best players had their worst games."

Green finished with five points and eight rebounds in 16 minutes. Keith Appling, the other half of the two Izzo singled out, had four points and four rebounds to go with five turnovers.

Paul led Illinois with 18 points.

He scored 13 of Illinois' 20 second-half points, but was 6 of 17 from the field. He was 5 of 9 from the free throw line and the Illini finished 9 of 17.

After burying those two late free throws, his misses on the 1-and-1s that followed gave the Spartans ? with Green on the end of the bench wincing in pain ? a chance to steal the game with 11 seconds to play.

But down 42-40, Michigan State's Derrick Nix missed the first of his two free throws. Appling then missed a driving shot with 2 seconds left, the final chance for the Spartans.

"He had a rough night," Izzo said of Appling. "When Draymond went out, he tried to take the game over. It's a shame because we had our chance and we didn't get it done."

Green hit a key layup in a 9-0 run that gave the Spartans a shot. They were up 36-35 with 5:01 to play. But just over a minute later he was being helped form the court.

With 2:09 left and Michigan State up 40-37, Illinois freshman Tracy Abrams hit a 3-pointer to tie the game.

After losing three games straight by a combined 11 points, Illinois badly needed to hold on against Michigan State, Abrams said.

"It shows toughness. Coach always says, `When things aren't going right, how do you respond as a team?'" Abrams said. "We stuck together."

Branden Dawson had 12 points for the Spartans.

While their shooting was awful, the Spartans pulled down 49 rebounds, 23 on the offensive end.

In the first half, the Spartans had more rebounds (22) than points, and trailed 22-20 at halftime.

Green spent the last 10:56 of the first half on the bench with three fouls, the last a technical when he complained about a foul call.

The technical cost Green a sharp chewing-out by Izzo as he took his place on the bench.

The game was physical, with Izzo complaining to the referees at one point, "They're killing us down here."

"This was WWE wrestling," Weber said.

Paul often matched up against Green, and relished seeing the big forward pile up fouls.

"He's obviously a great player and he does everything for them," Paul said. "I got a couple fouls on him early, and with him we probably should have capitalized on it more."

Given Michigan State's rough first half, it was hard to figure why Illinois headed to the locker room with a narrow two-point lead.

The Illini were 9 of 25 from the field after 20 minutes and 3 of 7 from the free throw line.

The biggest shots for Illinois in the first half were arguably two putbacks by freshman Myke Henry.

The first, off a miss by D.J. Richardson, put Illinois up 18-16 with 5:43 left. The second came with 34 seconds left, off another miss by Richardson, and gave the Illini their halftime lead.

Online game theft earns real-world conviction

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) ? The Dutch Supreme Court has ruled that forcing a 13-year-old boy to relinquish a virtual mask and amulet in an online game amounted to real-world theft.

The Netherlands' highest court confirmed Tuesday that a boy who threatened the 13-year-old with a knife to make him drop the objects in the online fantasy game RuneScape was guilty of theft and ordered him to perform 144 hours of community service.

The court did not release the suspect's name, only his year of birth ? 1992. It said he and another youth beat and kicked the boy and threatened him with a knife until he logged into RuneScape and dropped the objects in 2007.

The court ruled the 13-year-old owned the virtual objects because of the time and energy he invested in winning them.
